F. De Isabella
F. De Isabella (Milano,1984) è un artista multidisciplinare. Dopo il diploma in Ripresa e Fotografia presso la Scuola Civica di Cinema di Milano, nel 2009 co- fonda il collettivo milanese Strasse gruppo che si è mosso in ambito performativo nello spazio pubblico per dieci anni. Lo stesso anno presenta al 23° Festival MIX di Milano e a Some Prefer Cake (Bologna) il suo primo corto "Coming Out". Dal 2007 si occupa di djing con lo pseudonimo di ubi broki e organizza party con matrice electro-romantic-queer. Ha collaborato in Italia e all’estero tra gli altri con: Far festival des art vivant (CH), Vooruit Kunstencentrum (BE), Festival de Marseille (FR), Santarcangelo Festival (ITA), Short Festival (ITA), Centrale Fies (ITA), Triennale di Milano (ITA) [artista associato 2017/ 2020]. Negli ultimi anni ha curato il suono dei lavori di Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin, Chiara Bersani, Titta Raccagni, Maddalena Fragnito e il collettivo Mine e ha collaborato come dj con Cristina Crystal Rizzo e Daniele Ninarello presentandolo a: Kampnagel (DE), Rencontres chorégraphiques (FR), Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo (CO), Black Box Teater (NO), HAU Hebbel am Ufer (DE), IETM (Madrid), Alkantara Festival - Teatro Nacional D. Maria II (PT). Con altr_ artist_ da qualche anno si interroga partendo dalla necessità e dal desiderio di mettere in discussione dinamiche, approcci e domande sulle pratiche di produzione artistica da un punto di vista transfemminista e queer. Tra il 2019 e il 2021 gira e monta un film di 40 minuti per Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin girato interamente in Armenia tra Jerevan e le zone rimaste al popolo armeno dopo il genocidio, subito prima dei nuovi attacchi.Nel 2021 presenta a Centrale Fies DICIOTTANNI- simultaneously an arch of 18 years and being 18 years old la prima parte del suo nuovo lavoro come autore che debutterà nel 2022 a Base Milano. Sempre nel 2022 partecipa e vince con un suo poster la call Cavalcavia, progetto di arte pubblica promosso da BASE Milano, Milano Mediterranea, cultureandprojects. Nel 2023 debutta con il suo ultimo progetto MAI+ a Bologna dentro FUORI! prodotto da ERT.


F. De Isabella (Milan,1984) is a multidisciplinary artist. After graduating in filmmaking and photography at Civica Scuola di Cinema of Milan, in 2009 Fra co-founds Strasse with Sara Leghissa, a performing art group that worked in public space. In the same year he presents at 23° Festival MIX di Milano and Some Prefer Cake (Bologna) his first short film "Coming Out". From 2007, they starts D-jaying with the pseudonymous ubi broki, organizing elctro-romantic-queer parties. They have collaborated in italy with, among others: Far festival des art vivant (CH), Vooruit Kunstencentrum (BE), Festival de Marseille (FR), Santarcangelo Festival (ITA), Short Festival (ITA), Triennale di Milano (ITA), Centrale Fies (ITA) In the last years Fra works as sound designer for the performances of Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin, Titta Raccagni and Chiara Bersani as well as D-Jaying with Cristina Crystal Rizzo e Daniele Ninarello presenting it in: Kampnagel (DE), Rencontres chorégraphiques (FR), Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo (CO), Black Box Teater (NO), HAU Hebbel am Ufer (DE), IETM (Madrid), Alkantara Festival - Teatro Nacional D. Maria II (PT). With other artists, for some years now, Fra has been asking from the desire and necessity of looking into the dynamics, approaches, questions, and issues related to “art making” from a queer and transfeminist perspective. Between 2019 and 2021 Fra makes a 40 minutes movie, entirely shot in Armenia, for the artist Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin. In 2021 he presented “DICIOTTANNI | simultaneously an arch of 18 years and being 18 years old, coming of age” at Centrale Fies, the first part of his first work as a single author. Also in 2022 he participated and won with one of his posters the Cavalcavia call, a public art project promoted by BASE Milano, Milano Mediterranea, cultureandprojects. In 2023 he debuts with his latest project MAI+ inside FUORI! produced by ERT in Bologna.
